Unfermented beer. This is your liquid before you pitch yeast to begin the fermentation process. Once the yeast consumes the sugar in the wort and produces alcohol, you have beer. I would call it wort once you introduce malt to your water at the time of brewing. This could be after the addition of dried malt extract, liquid malt extract, or after your mash rest (all-grain).
